KCTC President/CEO authors Startland News article on potential benefits of KC Techbridge

KC Tech Council President and CEO Kara Lowe recently authored an article published in Startland News with details on how KC Techbridge plans to address Kansas City’s sizable workforce challenge of currently having more tech-focused jobs in the region than local candidates to fill the positions. The initiative remains in a detailed planning stage and will continue through implementation, thanks to a recently awarded Kauffman Foundation Collective Impact grant.

“Whether driven by the economic mobility of one person, a measurable collective economic impact to our region, or both, KC Tech Council (KCTC) is building a coalition of supporters embarking on a journey to collect data and insights in support of an employer-led local talent pipeline,” Lowe wrote in part. The full article can be read here.

Named to her current role in May 2022, Lowe has been with KCTC since 2016 and manages relationships with the organization’s investors, representing nearly 200 companies throughout the region, making contributions of resources and expertise to advance the growth of KC’s tech industry. KCTC serves as the regional advocate focused on elevating the region as the leading innovation hub of the Midwest.
