ABOUT IRONEDGE GROUP
1. Give us your organization’s quick origin story!
IronEdge Group began over 20 years ago, at a time when on-prem servers dominated the IT world, cloud was barely a buzzword, and cybersecurity threats were far simpler than the sophisticated challenges businesses face today. What started as a small team helping local companies manage their IT has grown into a leading managed services provider, delivering enterprise-grade IT and cybersecurity solutions to small and midsize businesses across the Midwest and beyond. Through all the changes in technology, one thing has remained constant: our mission to make businesses stronger, safer, and smarter through technology. Along the way, we’ve built lasting relationships with clients who trust us to keep them secure and productive, teammates who share a passion for problem-solving, and partners who push the industry forward every day. Now celebrating two decades in business, IronEdge continues to evolve — bringing a balance of strategy, security, and hands-on IT leadership to organizations that need more than break-fix support. We’re proud to join the Kansas City Tech Council and look forward to contributing to the local tech community while helping businesses embrace what’s next.
2. What problem are you currently solving in the KC tech industry?
IronEdge helps small and midsize businesses in Kansas City stay protected, run smarter, and grow with confidence. For over 20 years, we’ve delivered managed IT and cybersecurity solutions backed by proactive planning, responsive local support, and real accountability. Most SMBs don’t have the time or in-house expertise to manage every aspect of IT. That’s where we step in. We simplify complex environments, reduce operational risk, and bring strategy to every step of the IT journey — from day-to-day help desk coverage to co-managed IT partnerships that extend internal teams. We’re also tackling some of the industry’s biggest challenges: cybersecurity, compliance, cloud migration, and reliable support. Instead of just reacting to issues, our team provides a full suite of managed and professional services that are designed to work together and evolve as businesses grow. At IronEdge, we’re not just a vendor — we’re a true IT partner.
3. What can we expect to see from your company/organization in the next year?
This fall, IronEdge will be launching a refreshed website built to better serve our community. The new site will feature a wide range of resources — from articles and infographics to videos and webinars — all designed to give SMB leaders practical insights that strengthen their business and simplify technology. We’re also excited to be more present in Kansas City. You can expect to see us at more KCTC events and throughout the local business community as we continue building relationships and sharing expertise. And as technology continues to evolve, so will we. IronEdge is expanding our portfolio of managed IT and cybersecurity services to help small and midsize businesses stay secure, scalable, and ready for what’s next.
4. How can KCTC members get more involved?
We’d love to connect with fellow KCTC members in a few simple ways: Visit our website to explore free resources, including blogs, infographics, and guides designed to simplify IT and strengthen your business. Reach out to us as a resource if you’re considering managed IT services, co-managed support, or cybersecurity solutions — our team is always happy to share insights. Say hello at KCTC events! We look forward to meeting other members in person, learning from the community, and finding opportunities to collaborate. At IronEdge, we believe tech leadership is best when it’s shared — and we’re excited to get more involved with the KC tech community.
